About Salil
Salil is a seasoned Information Security and IT leader with over 20 years of experience. He has designed and implemented IT security frameworks for various organizations. His credentials include certifications such as CISSP, Asian School Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Cyber Crime Investigator, ISMS Auditor, and Certified Data Privacy Practitioner.
Salil has served as an expert to the Cyber Crime Cell of Pune City Police (Maharashtra India), contributing to numerous investigations and being a member of the Cyber Committee. He has trained Indian Army Intelligence Officers in Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics.
He previously held positions as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Poonawalla Fincorp Limited (a financial services company owned by the Poonawalla family, specifically Adar Poonawalla, who is also owns the Serum Institute of India (SII) which is the largest manufacturer of Covid Vaccines ) where he was responsible for the IT and IT Security support of Mr. Adar Poonawalla team and his team also won the Cyber Security Team of the Year award, Post that, he joined as Director - Information Security at Worldline E-Payments India Pvt. Ltd.
Apart from his regular work, Salil is also interested in researching AI applications in Cyber Security. He also raises cyber crime awareness in the academic community through lectures at prestigious colleges.
